Senior year is all about lasts: the last, first day of school; the last pep rally and homecoming; the last year of high school sports; the last prom – it’s the last year of high school. Students at Emerson Junior-Senior High School have attended school with the same classmates for about 12 years. Some seniors are now trying to figure out where their next chapter in life will take them. Questions about college, trade school, employment are running through the heads of some students.

Honestly, just overall reflecting on the last 4 years of school, I feel so grateful to be in an amazing school and be part of such a kind-hearted grade. Every day at EHS has held great moments that I will never forget.”

— senior Nicole Lenino

At EJSHS, there are only about 90 students in each grade level. Students such as Gianna Vitetta, Nicole Lenino, and Anthony Saluzzi agree that in such a small town, friendships are close.

“I am going to as many sports games as I can to support all of my senior friends. I’m making as many memories as I can and getting involved in as many clubs as I can,” senior Gianna Vitetta said.

Vitetta said she’s planning on making every day of her senior year count. Whether it’s walking into those front doors every morning or spending time with her fellow seniors on the weekends, she does not want to take anything for granted.

For senior year, it’s all about making memories that will last a lifetime and counting on class officers. Senior class Vice President, Nicole Lenino, has it all planned out.

“For the Class of 2016, I hope that we have the best final year of high school we can together, have lots of opportunities to spend time and make memories together, and that everyone’s future plans are all that they hoped for,” senior class Vice President Nicole Lenino said.

Senior Anthony Saluzzi is being a better person every day for his last year at Emerson High School.

“Just having a good time, surrounding myself with good people, trying to live life to the fullest,” Saluzzi said.
