Swimming slow in clear blue water
A monstrous shark swims into view.
All the little fish scatter.
Then, another shark that’s blue
Swims down away from the batter
Of the foamy, white waves.

Suddenly, a ship appears
Sunken at the bottom.
Ghostly fish patrol the boat
Half of it is gone.
Getting nearer, there is a note
In a kelp lawn.

On the shipwreck’s deck,
A barrel filled with a gleam.
A fish brushes against my neck,
Swims through some broken beams.
Further down in the wreck
A greater treasure lies.
